Dam Access in 2010
Land-based activities
Land based activities that occur at the southern arms of the dam, such as horse riding, walking and mountain biking will remain unaffected by construction activities, excluding the section near the upper intake area while the intake tower is being raised. Access to areas adjacent to the dam wall are closed until late 2010 due to construction.

Water-based activities
Boat access has been maintained in the upper reaches of the dam, away from the construction zone where a 1km exclusion zone is in place. The western boat ramp, on Nerang Murwillumbah Road is now open, however the temporary upper-eastern boat ramp, on Little Nerang Road is now closed due to project works.
